Steinzeitliches Langbettgrab

Short facts

On the hill of Wulfen, there was a significant Stone-Age burial ground dating back to 3600-3200 B.C. with several long barrows of up to 130 metres in length. In 1836, the archaeologist and pastor Diederich Harries described the mostly
destroyed graves of Wulfen. The stones had been demolished and were sold as
building material. Today, there are no remains of the former graves.
Nevertheless, a replica of a long barrow is situated on the hill of Wulfen and can be visited there.
