Der erfolgreiche Schriftsteller Dr. Pfeiffer stellt bei einer abendlichen Feuerzangenbowle mit Freunden fest, daß er die "eigentliche" Schule nie kennengelernt hat, da er durch einen Privatlehrer erzogen worden ist. Darauf beschließt er, noch einmal die Schulbank zu drücken, wobei er mit seinen Streichen nicht nur die Schule, sondern sein ganzes Heimatstädtchen auf den Kopf stellt.
